Content declaration

Please read this declaration carefully. By selecting I agree you confirm that every statement below is true for each visual you upload, now and in the future, and you accept the legal responsibility that comes with it. If you cannot honestly agree to any part of it, do not upload.

1. Ownership and permission

1. I created the visual myself, or I hold every right, licence, consent and permission needed to upload it and to show it publicly on UknowUX, including copyright, trademark, design, database, image, personality and privacy rights.
2. The visual does not copy, imitate, trace or derive from anyone else's work without permission, and it does not infringe or misuse any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, moral right or other right of any person or company.
3. Any third-party material in it (stock images, photographs, illustrations, icons, fonts, templates, mockups, brand names, logos, interface elements or screenshots of other products) is used under a licence that allows this use, and I have followed its attribution and usage conditions.
4. If the visual shows work I did for an employer, a client or a school, I am allowed to share it publicly under my contract, any confidentiality or non-disclosure agreement, and any policy that applies to me, and I have shown no confidential, unreleased or proprietary information.
5. I have not presented anyone else's work as mine, and I have credited collaborators where they are owed credit.

2. Nothing unlawful, harmful or inappropriate

1. The visual is not unlawful, and does not promote or help anyone to break the law.
2. It contains nothing obscene, pornographic or sexually explicit; nothing graphically violent, cruel or disturbing; and nothing that glorifies self-harm, terrorism or abuse.
3. It contains nothing hateful, discriminatory, harassing, threatening, defamatory, deceptive or abusive, and nothing that targets a person or group on the basis of race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age or any other protected characteristic.
4. It does not show or identify a real person without their consent, and it contains no personal data, private messages, credentials or financial details belonging to others.
5. It contains no malware, hidden code, misleading links, scams, advertising disguised as work, or anything meant to mislead people or harm them or their devices.
6. Its title, description and tags are accurate, and I will not use them to mislead, spam or manipulate votes or rankings.

3. The licence I give UknowUX

1. I keep ownership of my visual. I give UknowUX a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, copy, resize, reformat, display and distribute it on the website and in its previews, shares, listings and search results, for as long as it stays on UknowUX, and for a reasonable time afterwards to remove it from backups and caches.
2. I understand that other members can see, vote for and save my visual to their own folders for as long as I keep it posted, and that I can delete it at any time.

4. My responsibility

1. I am solely responsible for the visual and for everything I write about it, including descriptions and links to other websites. UknowUX does not review visuals before they appear, does not check who owns them, and does not endorse them.
2. I will answer for any claim, complaint, loss or penalty that arises from my visual or from my breach of this declaration, the terms of use or the community guidelines. I agree to compensate and hold harmless UknowUX, the people who run it, and its service providers against all claims, damages, costs and reasonable legal fees that result.
3. I understand that the law may hold me personally liable, and that UknowUX can share my account details with a rights holder, court or authority where the law requires or allows it.

5. Removal and enforcement

1. UknowUX may remove or hide any visual, restrict features, or suspend or close my account at any time, with or without notice, if it believes this declaration or the rules have been broken, or if it receives a credible complaint.
2. Rights holders and anyone else who objects to a visual can email info@uknowux.com or use "Mark as inappropriate" on the visual. I understand it can be removed while the matter is looked into, and that repeat infringement leads to account closure.
3. I will tell UknowUX straight away if something I have posted turns out to infringe someone's rights.

6. About me

1. I am at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where I live, or I have a parent or guardian's permission, and I have the authority to make this declaration.
2. I have read and I accept the terms of use, the privacy notice and the disclaimer.
