About UknowUX

A free, community-run home for people who work in UX.

Why this exists

UX professionals deserve a place to find work, show their work and learn from each other without ads, paywalls or having their data sold. UknowUX is that place, built and run by volunteers.

Our principles

• Non-commercial. No ads, no paid job listings, no premium tiers and no selling of data.
• One identity. One profile for applying to jobs, joining discussions and sharing work.
• Your data, your call. You control who sees your profile, and you can download or delete everything at any time.
• Open. The code and the roadmap are public.
• Accessible. We aim for WCAG 2.2 AA across the site.

Contribute

Developers, designers, writers, researchers and moderators are all welcome. Open an issue describing what you would like to change, keep changes small, prefer plain server-rendered HTML, and run the tests before sending a pull request. By contributing you agree your work is released under the project's MIT license.

Not a developer? Tell us what is missing or help moderate and welcome newcomers in the community.
