How these numbers are made

  • Source. Pay ranges that employers and companies publish on the open jobs listed on UknowUX. Only a part of jobs state their pay, so this is a view of those that do, not of every salary.
  • Full-time roles only. Internships, part-time and contract roles are left out, because their pay is not comparable with a yearly salary.
  • Place. The city and country are read from each listing's location text, so a role in Bengaluru at a company headquartered elsewhere counts as India. Roles that name no city are counted in their country only.
  • Midpoint. Each job counts once, at the middle of its range. Monthly pay is multiplied by 12, daily by 260 and hourly by 2,080 to give a yearly figure.
  • Currency. Pay is converted into the currency you choose at approximate daily rates (open.er-api.com (daily mid-market rates), 22 Oct 2026). They are indicative, not what a bank would give you, and cost of living differs from place to place.
  • Small groups. A group needs at least 3 listings to appear (companies are the exception, because their own published range is shown). Fewer than 5 is marked as limited data.
  • What is not included. Bonuses, equity and benefits. Listed ranges are what a company expects to offer, not what people are paid, and the offer you get depends on your experience.

These figures are a guide for planning and negotiation, not financial advice.
